Anti-Wrinkle Treatments

Anti-wrinkle injections are the UK’s number one method for treating facial wrinkles and lines. Wrinkles are caused by repeated facial muscle contraction during expressions. Over time these lines become deeper and more prominent.  Botulinum toxin injected into these muscles causes them to relax and in turn causes facial lines and wrinkles to soften or disappear depending on their depth. 

Treatment duration varies, but typically 1 treatment lasts 3-4months.

• Glabellar area​ (frown lines)
• Forehead lines
• Crow’s feet
• Brow lift (for arched brows)
• Bunny lines
• Gummy smile
• Pebbled/upturned chin
• Smoker’s lines
• Downturned corners of mouth
• Jawline slimming/teeth grinding
• Neck lift 
• Hyperhidrosis (excess underarm sweating)

Assessment

This includes a consultation with Reem. Discussion of what you are concerned about and looking for. Then medical history and consent form completion.

Treatment

The procedure lasts 15-20 minutes. No anaesthetic is needed for this and there is very little discomfort.

Recovery

The majority of patients require no downtime following these procedures and can return to work and normal activities the same day.

Results

Results are seen 10-14 days after treatment. Results can be expected to last up to 4 months.

Aftercare advice: 

• Exercise the muscles of the treated area for 45 mins following treatment 
• Remain upright for 3 hours following treatment
• Avoid hot environments (sauna, steamrooms, sunbeds or hot baths) for 24 hours after treatment 
• Avoid high intensity exercise or excessive alcohol for 24 hours after treatment 
• Avoid touching or rubbing the injected area on the same day
• Avoid putting on makeup on the area for 6 hours after treatment
