The tear trough procedure involves injecting a low density dermal filler into the sunken area under the eye leading to immediate results with rejuvenated, fresh looking eyes and facial appearance.

Reem uses the latest microcannula techniques for tear trough filler to minimise the risks of vessel damage around the eye. The cannula is a blunt tipped instrument and therefore glides through the tissue layers of the skin to avoid puncturing any vessels in the area. The procedure is minimally invasive and virtually pain free.

Assessment

This includes a consultation with Reem. Discussion of what you are concerned about and looking for. Then medical history and consent form completion.

Treatment

The procedure lasts 20-30 minutes. Topical local anaesthetic cream is applied to numb the area. As a result the discomfort of the procedure is minimised. We do all the massage during the procedure so you don’t have to.

Recovery

The majority of patients require no downtime following these procedures and can return to work and normal activities the same day. Some basic post procedure instructions apply. Swelling is very common and lasts 5-7 days post procedure.

Results

are seen immediately after treatment. Further improvements are seen over the next 7 days as the filler integrates and hydrates the area. Results can be expected to last up to 9 months.

Aftercare advice:

  • Avoid hot environments (sauna, steam room, sunbeds or hot baths) for 24 hours after the procedure
  • Avoid high intensity exercise or excessive alcohol for 24 hours after the procedure
  • Avoid touching or rubbing the injected area on the same day
  • Avoid wearing makeup around the injected area for 6 hours after the procedure
